


A series inspired by Alberto Giacometti's, City Square1948. I mixed ground metallic powder with the oil paint to create a richer texture in the figure areas of the paintings.

This was an experiment in abstraction. It's an image that has been floating around in my head for awhile now. It is painted on a 1/2" thick, square 1' x 1' piece of lucite. It has many areas of transparency in the piece and it is painted on the front and on the back of the lucite giving an interesting perception of depth.
Here is a painting from a photograph. My first attempt at realism in quite some time. I've been hesitant to attempt a realistic painting but I am well pleased with my resulting attempt.
